  • Free mini-comics workshops for kids, July 14 + 21

I'm pleased to announce that I will be presenting a couple of workshops for kids about making mini-comics in the month of July. Two workshops are scheduled, and both are FREE for participants. Here are the details:

July 14, 3:00pm at the Connolly Branch of the Boston Public Library (433 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain)

Do you like to draw pictures or write stories? Are you looking for a way to share your adventures with the world? Join us to learn how to make a mini-comic book with comic and zine artist Marissa Falco. Learn about how comics are made and then make your own mini-comic book.
    For ages 5 and up.

July 21, 3:00pm at the Egleston Square Branch of the Boston Public Library (2044 Columbus Ave., Roxbury)

In this special meeting of the Comic Book Club, learn how to make your own mini-comic with artist Marissa Falco. For readers, writers, and artists ages 8-12.

Thanks to the Boston Public Library librarians for inviting me! I'm looking forward to seeing what all of these young comics-creators are going to make! If you are a teacher, librarian, troop leader, etc who would like to talk with me about setting up a minicomics or zine workshop in the future, please get in touch!
